February Finds at Treasure House in Glen Ellyn

The shop is FULL of wonderful home décor! Stop by this month for finds you can use to decorate your home.  Currently in the shop we have Lladro, Waterford, Dania, Thomasville and more. 

 

Treasure House is a wonderful place to donate your new or gently used items.  We sell most items that come into the shop at a fraction of the original price.  The proceeds from our sales stay LOCAL and we are a Non Profit 501-C3 Charitable organization.  That means we help families to Learn, Earn, Heal and Thrive right here in DuPage County...for Metropolitan Family Services. 

 

We currently have a lovely collection of Jewelry  and Designer clothing in the shop as well.  You'll find 14K gold, Sterling Silver, Turquoise and Brighton in our jewelry cases... and in our clothing department you will find Pendelton, 7 for all Mankind, Chicos, Tahari, Dana Buchman, Franco Sarto shoes and handbags, Coach, Vera Bradley and so many more... many with original tags still attached.

We have some lovely Waterford in the shop! They are currently 20% off and a fraction of the price you would find them for them at regular retail pricing. Many come with original boxes and in fact, have never been out of the box... all with original tags! They would make the perfect gift for a wedding or for Christmas. Remember, proceeds from the shop go to help fund programming for friends in the Dupage County Area...via Metropolitan Family Services Dupage! The more folks who know about us = increased funding for the programs that help folks with counseling and mentoring, adoption preservation and Head Start, among other social services programs by MFSD.

Spring is in the Air! Wedding Decor 101

  Just in to Treasure House.  A Very Ornate Settee and matching pair of chairs ( as I write this post... a customer has the chairs on hold, but you can place a back up hold if you would like)  in Blue Velvet.  Originally created by Rossi Brothers Chicago...as a custom piece back in the 1960's.  It still has the original plastic cover that was custom made. 

Today, It is very "IN" to do engagement, family, wedding photography and Styling... using pieces like this.  Imagine them sitting in the middle of a field of fresh yellow wildflowers.  On an dirt road, along an abandon rail line or in a lush green forest.  These pieces will add the elegance and opulence that many Stylists are looking for these days. 

Below are some examples of vignettes that folks are renting for specialized weddings.  Rentals starting at more than we are asking for these pieces.  ( Our prices) Settee is $495 with each of the chairs at $149 each.  We can do $700 on the complete set of three pieces.

Here comes the bride! Treasure House has transformed into a bridal boutique.

For the next two weeks we have a lovely selection of bridal gowns in all shapes, styles, and sizes. This Spring, be sure to come shop for your wedding needs. We have a beautiful selection of vintage gowns as well. Gowns for all seasons.
